VoLTE and WiFI Calling

Three are the only network in Ireland not yet offering either VoLTE or WiFi Calling.

Even GOMO are now offering it

Such terrible service. I really wish I'd known I couldn't use Wifi calling on Three before I switched back from Vodafone. Now I'm locked in for a year and Three won't release me. I miss every delivery at home. It's a nightmare.

Apple have finally approved 3 Ireland for Wi-Fi calling on the latest iOS 16.4 beta release.

But when I try to activate I get an error from that it needs to be activated on my account.

Can this be enabled please ?

I was able to activate it after restarting my phone, agreeing to the terms and conditions and had to force it to turn on my enabling airplane mode and turning Wi-Fi on.

Tested failover from Wi-Fi calls to VoLTE and it appears to work well.

@Luke_67246 this method doesn’t work for me. When I toggle WiFi Calling on, a blank white screen pops up. Then it disappears and says “to enable WiFi Calling on this account, contact 3.”

I’m on the Three Prepay Hero 15 plan.

It took a few tries but it did eventually load beyond the white screen.

Try it while on 4G/5G. I’m on the hero Plan as well.

After rebooting my phone 3 times, it worked. I can make and receive calls through WiFi, but no SMS or MMS.

Hi I have a Pixel 6 and cannot turn WiFi calling or VoLTE. Is this phone supported? You list seems to be just Samsung S21 S22 variants. Why is Three years behind the other networks in enabling technologies for their customers????

@Add_16771 The Pixel 6 is not supported at the moment but we're currently working with all phone manufacturers to get WiFi Calling and VoLTE enabled. Once the Pixel 6 is enabled we'll update our devices list.
