Hello!
In past 2 months I have started observing a problem with my internet connection.
When I start downloading larger file (something that will take longer than 2 minutes to download),
the internet connection cuts out completely. After the connection cuts out, I am still able to ping from both the browser
and router itself but when I try to load any website or anything that needs internet connection, nothing will happen.
For example www.speedtest.net loads (from browser memory) but when I try to start the test it just hangs on "Finding optimal server..." for like 2 minutes and then when it successfully finds server, all connections are restored.
I have tested this by connecting a laptop directly to the outdoor unit (so there is nothing else on the home network) and I got the exact same behavior. Normally my download speed is around 200Mbps which is fine but when the connections cuts out I have nothing but for some reason I can still successfully ping online servers. Also one more thing that I have noticed is that if I limit download speed to something like 20Mbps the connection will not cut out but when I go full speed then It always consistently cuts out. I do not know what else to try to fix it.
I will be grateful for any ideas.
Have a nice day!
Hey @BrNcO , thanks for posting here, as this issue is with the technician installed broadband I would recommend contacting our dedicated broadband team on 1913 and entering your broadband number when prompted.
Finally had time to call the support. They said they changed some settings for me and I had to disable and re-enable my static ip APN. So far it is working.
