MC7010 constantly needs rebooting.

What are 3 doing? I got 3 mobile broadband around January this year. Service at my house has been fairly decent, though I'd have to reboot by MC7010 at least once a week (normally on a Wednesday when in an important call) or the T3000 routers a couple of times a week. But this past month or two I'm finding I'm having to reboot everything almost daily. My phone gets 5G speeds but my broadband will be anywhere from 0.5 to 4mb, which is frankly not acceptable. I spoke with someone last week via chat and they did something and my speed went back up to 30-50mb but a week has gone past, I was down to 1.2mb down and 2.8mb up rebooted the MC7010 got around 10mb for about an hour or so and now it's back down to the 1mb speeds. Are the MC7010 crap devices as I see new ones being used on the adverts and they are not listed on the support pages.

thanks

Hey @Captsx1, Welcome to the 3Community 🙂

Firstly I wouldn't recommend going near the MC7010 device or resetting the device as you have been describing once it has been installed. As the technical team has installed the MC7010 device externally resetting the device may affect the settings completed by the technical team and also affect your connection. This is the reason why the MC7010 is not listed on the device guide as it is not meant to be troubleshot like a router would. If you are after restarting the external device I would recommend contacting 1913 where our customer support team would be able to arrange for a technician to call out to reconfigure the MC7010.

Hi Niall,

thanks for the response. I should add that my reboot is just to remove power from it, I think I missed that part in the text above. I've not done any factory reset, as I can't... it's mounted on a wall outside high up. Sometimes I have no option but to do the power cycle as the modem is giving zero output to my router.

I have been on to the tech support this morning as my speeds were down to ~1mb again. After getting me back to a workable speed she has put in a call for a tech visit to check it out as she said we should be getting close to 100+mb given our proximity to three three masts.

kind regards

Steve
