Hi,
Got 5g installed recently and it's been great for nearly everything except zoom calls. (download is 200Mb+, upload is 140Mb+)
My audio will cut out for 5-10 seconds every few minutes during calls. I can still hear people but they can't hear me.
They say my video doesn't buffer but they can't hear me. I can hear them and their videos do not buffer.
I know this is the three internet as this issue does not happen if I use my mobile phone as a hotspot.
This is happening on a mac with a wired headset,
Any ideas?
@Stephen1 Hi there, when the audio cuts out on your video feed have you noticed a drop in your speed? With any WiFi connection, if there's even a slight fluctuation, it can cause high latency, meaning the signal is interrupted in its journey. This results in audio cutting in and out. Besides Zoom have you noticed this happening at any other time?
Haven't noticed any speed issues, there's no video buffering etc. Haven't used any other video calling apps. Only use Zoom for work.
My wifi does seem to disconnect a lot more often than any other wifi I've ever had.
@Stephen1 Thanks for getting back to me, this is odd especially since it's only occurring while using Zoom. What I'd suggest doing is contacting our tech-install broadband team on freephone 1800 800 002. They'll be able to check on your account & make sure that everything has been set-up correctly.
Just wondering if there was any resolution for this? I'm running into the exact same issue.
Hi @James_01797 The difficulties you're experiencing are they only with Zoom calls? If you are using our tech-installed 5G broadband I would suggest that you give our dedicated team a call on freephone 1800 800 002. They'll be able to check on your account.
Hi James, No they haven't been resolved.
Having the exact same issues with Zoom calls over 5G, did you ever get it resolved?
Hi @rofrof are you only experiencing difficulties when using Zoom? The broadband your using is it 5G tech installed broadband?
