Hi,
When sending a webtext, the Sender ID is missing the last digit. I've tested sending to my own phone (Nokia dumbphone on Three), and to a Vodafone subscriber (iPhone running iOS 17.5)
On my Nokia, the Sender ID is shown as "35386******" (i.e. six digits, not seven, after the "86"). Note too there's no leading "+" symbol displayed before the "353", which there normally is for other numbers not in my contacts.
On my iPhone, the Sender ID is shown as "+353 (86) *** ***". Again, the last digit is missing, but the iPhone does at least show a "+" before the "353".
Texting from the phone handset itself results in the full, correct Sender ID being sent, so this seems specific to Webtext.
This is separate to the issue of Webtext choking after 640 characters reported in October 2023, and separate to the issue of Webtext deleting arbitrary characters with no warning reported in February 2024. Both of those remain open.
Thanks,
Paul.
Hi @PGargan I've already raised this with the team. I've just reached out for an update, I'll post any updates here.
Hi @PGargan I've just been advised that the sending number is now displaying correctly. I tested it with my own My3 account and it does seem to be working fine now.
Great, thank you for the quick turnaround!
Paul.
