Hi, last week I travelled to Northern Ireland, despite having turned on Data Roaming function, I didn't either receive any text message from Three Ireland or have my phone automatically connected to Three UK. I did the same steps to my friend whose phone is the same model as mine (Iphone 11 Pro), but he did receive welcome text from Three UK after crossing the border and his phone automatically connected to Three UK while my Three sim had never received any welcome text after crossing the border or automatically connected to 3 UK. Besides, I did restart and select network manually but there was no difference as the signal always showed "searching for network" then "no services". Could you please help me with this issue? Thanks
Hi Shane,
Thanks for your response.
I'm already back to ROI. When i tried to manually select the network (i chose 3 UK), there was no error message showing, however, the signal symbol only showed "connecting" status and then "no service". This was not the first time I had experienced this but was the fourth time. I didn't know what really happened to my phone.
Thanks.
@Date972 As you're back in ROI there's not a lot of troubleshooting we can do as you have your service back but what I can do is check on your account to make sure it's set up correctly for roaming. To do this can I get you to PM me your number along with your full name, address, & date of birth for the validation of your account? I can see that you've ranked up so you'll see an option to send a PM.
Once I've checked on your account I'll give you some troubleshooting steps to help if when you're next in the north your unable to access a roaming network.
Hi Shane,
Thanks for your response. I tried to select "Send me a PM" option and all I received was in the attached screenshot.
@Date972 I've checked on your account & you should be able to send a PM. Can you try once more & let me know if you're still getting the same message as above?
