Planned Works Schedule

Here at Three, we want our network to be the best that it can possibly be, so we work hard to identify faults and fix them as soon as possible. We also carry out regular maintenance work to keep our network in tip-top condition. And this means that from time to time, these network improvements can lead to service interruptions. So, when we know that we are going to be working in your area – we want to let you know as well!

The following is a list of the areas that we are currently planning to carry out work in.

Just so you know, this is not a live update of everything happening on the network – but we will be updating this list as often as possible. To check what your coverage is expected to be like, you can also check the coverage map by clicking here, and if you are experiencing coverage difficulties in areas not listed below, have a look at our coverage checklists below. 👇

Read our blog about phone coverage by clicking here.

Please note that while we expect most planned works to be completed by the next working day, but there may be some exceptions depending on circumstances on-site.

Welcome to 3Community @Veronica_46868 I'd love to help with this but I'll need a little more info.

Is it only your data that is affected? Can you tell me exactly what you are experiencing is it slow speeds or is the data unavailable? Are you connecting to 4G or 5G?

Have you contacted Customer Care about this? If you have did they raise this with our technical team?

Hi Stacey,

I complained about it on the day when the maintenance work was in place (as l rang support to identify the cause for the complete internet disruption. They said the planned works taking place that day was supposed to remediate this problem so l thought l will wait and see).
Yes, only the data is affected.
My phone has 5G, and right now the data seem to work better. We also have home broadband from three, and the modem is an older model which is 4G-so the broadband worked much better than the data in our phones. In our phones it essentially was working for few seconds-then interrupting for a minute and so on. As mentioned above, seems to be a bit better right now, l will call your technical team should this happen again.

Thank you,
Veronica

Hi

I am also affected by the poor/often none mobile data speeds in Celbridge.

Its affecting both 5G and 4G mobile data, my phone regularly says no internet.

The issue is worse during the day and improves at night.

Its not an issue with coverage as I normally get 4 out of 5 bars, looks more like an issue with lack of data capacity on your network in the Celbridge area.

When I go to Maynooth or Leixlip I have no data issues.

This has been going on for a few weeks now.

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

Yes, exactly. For me it improves as soon as l leave my estate. But when l rang to complain again, (as the internet was not working at all one morning), l was told there are no other complains for this area and it happens only for me, therefore they can’t help. This issue appeared during summer months and became worse in autumn, before that l was overall happy with the internet and data, but now l consider moving to another provider.

Hey @mikedirl @Veronica_46868 , Welcome to the 3Community 🙂

I'd love to look into this for you both here, can you pop through to me here on PM along with your details so I can check on the masts in the area and we can also help with troubleshooting. If this doesn't resolve the query, we would then need to pass this on to the technical team to investigate this further however I would firstly need you to PM us to validate your details before we can investigate further.

As you're new to the Community you'll need to increase your rank to send PMs. You can increase your rank by commenting on posts, creating new posts, & kudos/liking comments. Once you rank up you'll get a message to notify you & you'll need to log out & back into the Community & you'll be able to PM us directly. Or if you'd prefer you can contact customer care on 1913 or by clicking here to chat to our messaging team

Hey @SOD87  , Welcome to the 3Community 🙂 I have checked the masts in the area and I can see that there was an unplanned outage yesterday evening in the Drimoleague area however I can see here that services have been restored in the area since early this morning.

Hi, there have been a number of internet outages in the Tower, Cork area over the last 2-3 weeks. Phone signal and internet drops for 4-5 hours and then returns as normal. Are these planned outages, or is there an issue with a local mast?

Hi @Add_62568 thanks for reaching out to us here on 3Community 👋

I'd like to help you here but need more info. Can you tell me where, what type of phone you have and is it calls/texts or data that is affected? Have you noticed if you are only experiencing difficulty in one specific area or everywhere you go?

Also, have you reached out to Customer Care on this? If you have please let me know the investigation reference number if you have one.

Hi Stacey, there are three different phones all on the 3 network in the house, 2 are iPhones and one android. The signal drops and we may get 1 bar intermittently, so we lose data, calls and texts. I have not reported to customer care, as we are unable to contact them while it is happening. Because there is no coverage...

The issue is the same anywhere inside the house or around the outside. The location is towards the North East of Tower, Co. Cork. You can contact me privately if you need more location information.
