Purchase exceeds your transaction limit .

I cannot use phone credit on Google play store, the item is 38 euro .it keeps saying it exceeds your transaction limit.has three blocked me from purchasing on the play store I have 40 euro credit in phone.if you could please resolve this .

@JohnYT when you are attempting to make the payment to Duolingo is this payment being made via the Play store or is this being made to Duo Lingo directly?

I'm also encountering this issue lately, I cannot purchase an app on google play store for €39.99 while I have over €40 in credit, Google play just shows "Purchase exceeds your transaction limit"

The payment is being made inside the Duo Lingo app Directly. There is no option from inside the play store.

Other subscriptions go in ok from inside their respective apps but that is usually <3€. 

My assumption is that the total yearly cost of Duo Lingo is greater than the transaction limit, and whatever way they set up their pricing plan it's not '8.50€ per month'. It is instead '102€ per year'. This would then trigger the max-per-month transaction allowance despite only attempting to pay for a single month?

Hey @JohnYT, with some subscriptions the will advise you that its a certain amount per month but they will take the annual fee at the check out so this is worth checking. Is the payment attempt failing or are you getting a transaction limit message?

It doesn't attempt to pay at all, I am unable to select the '3' option. I also tried the below 'add 3 billing' but that just errors out (possibly because I have it set up already). 

It is the monthly option that I choose on Duo Lingo.
