Unable to receive verification code texts

Hi,

I recently ported my number from eir to 3 and I’ve had trouble receiving verification code texts from websites such as boots, mygov, PayPal.I need these codes in order to log in but I am not receiving them. Does 3 block these verification code texts as they think they’re spam?

@Bryan_94346 Hi Bryan & welcome to the 3Community. We don't block the authentication SMS but I'll need to check your account to ensure it's been set up correctly. Can I get you to PM me your full name, number, address, & date of birth for the validation of your account? 

As you're new to the Community you'll need to increase your rank to send PMs. You can increase your rank by commenting on posts, creating new posts, & kudos/liking comments. Absolutely the same issue and so frustrating. 5 hours as a Three customer and wishing I’d paid the €99 for the new Vodafone handset and stayed where I was.

If you still need assistance please let me know the name of the company you're having difficulties receiving messages from and the make and model of your phone.

Hey Bryan,

Did anyone ever resolve this for you. This keeps happening me , I keep getting told to contact the vendor, then when I am on a web chat, things magically start working again. So someone somewhere is either lying to us, or they dont really know.

What make and model phone are you using?

What company are you having difficulties receiving verification codes from?

Have you ever successfully received a verification code?

Do you receive any errors?

When was the last time you tried to get a verification code?
