ESIM Rollout

Hi

Vodafone Ireland have recently started issuing ESims in ROI.  I think Three should follow suit soon, handsets such as iPhone only allow dual sim using one of these

@Dalk yep, I saw a post on Boards.ie and went to check it out. I even just swapped my physical Lycamobile sim to an eSim. So handly as I had lost it and it was a backup one

Vodafone is one thing, but Lycamobile is another.  

Three need to to step up and get it rolled out asap.

Wow!

I just successfully converted an existing Lycamobile physical SIM to an eSIM. Worked seamlessly. Line is working perfectly. 5G data too.

That’s 2 esims I have stored on my phone now Vodafone (line off) and Lyca (line on).

@CiaranM Thats just teasing those of us with Network Locked iPhones. The likes of Vodafone, airala etc. eSIMs are available for anyone with unlocked phones.

Amazing how they are still locking iPhones in this day and age considering Samsung Galaxy phones that cost similar money are unlocked 😂😂

My post is more to confirm that it works; Lycamobile are using the Three network so relevant to this thread.
Some may be miffed that Lyca (a MVNO) got there before a main telco - actually before both Three and Eir (notwithstanding GoMoWorld eSim).

@Dalk I don't have a specific date but I can confirm that we are in the final steps of our launch prep. So I do believe that the launch will be very very soon 😉
