Hi

Vodafone Ireland have recently started issuing ESims in ROI.  I think Three should follow suit soon, handsets such as iPhone only allow dual sim using one of these

@Three_Stacey I've logged out and logged back in, but I can't find where to PM. I've also tried logging into 3Community on my phone, but I don't see an option there either. Where is the PM button normally found?

@Toryb All you need to do is click on our name at the top of any of our responses.

 

Once you've done that you'll see Send this user a private message

When I click a name, it brings me to a profile. There's a "contact me" section, but it doesn't actually have a way to send a message.

It appears “private messenger” is not an option in my settings.

Hi @Three_Niall 

 I’m still uncertain about the eSIM charge.

Let me put it this way.

I can swap my physical sim between my iPhone and Android as many times as I need, and there’s no charge for that.

Can I also do the same with an eSIM as many times as I like without charge?

What exactly constitutes as a “replacement” for eSIM?

 

“you are correct customerscan avail of up to 2 free replacement physical SIM cards or eSIMs in a year and after that, each new SIM costs €15.24, ex. VAT as described”

@Three_Niall ,so to get support from the only person in Three willing to help me (you) I have to go and like random posts and comment in random places on this platform to unlock the feature of Private messages?!


Sorry but Reddit and other random forums I understand that, this is a professional businesses forum - that is hilarous!

If don’t get a response from that ticket number I lodged within 2 days I’m porting to Vodafone - simple and the issue will be resolved which doesn’t result in me wasting my time and jumping through hoops to get support . Thanks.

@Toryb when you are on the home page on Community, beside your username can you check to see if there is a notification bell icon and a message icon (this will be an envelope) beside your name?

@CiaranM with the physical SIM card that you are swapping in between devices, this would be the one SIM card so you aren't replacing or receiving a new SIM card each time. 

With the eSIM, as an example if you were moving an eSIM from an iPhone to an Android. this would be considered a SIM replacement as you are asking to replace the SIM in the iPhone and requesting for the new eSIM to be embedded into the new phone that you are going to be scanning the QR code with. You would be able to avail of two SIM replacements within a 12 month period before you are charged the €15.24 ex Vat.
