Weird GPRS charges on my €20 prepay plan?

Hi all,

 

So I usually go for the €20 prepay plan for the 28 day deal. I last topped up on March 7th, however, earlier today on March 16th, my credit ran out for some reason? This shouldn’t happen, as by my rough calculations, I’m covered until early April.

 

I checked the detailed usages of my account. There’s a series of ‘GPRS’ charges which amount to €0, but then there’s a couple that drain my credit. I cannot figure out where this came from. This has never happened before, so I’m unsure what to do. This is even my first post here…

 

None of my habits are abnormal - I pretty much stream media, text, and use my hotspot, aside from general internet stuff. My phone does attempt to automatically update though (iPhone iOS 17 to 18)- could that be it? Although this has happened for the past while without issues.

 

There’s no way to conveniently gather screenshots of many samples, but here’s some of what I refer to;

So far I’ve sent a general query via email to support, but I thought I’d also post on this forum now that I found it. I tried looking for similar issues from other people, but not many instances came up. Hoping someone can look at my account to see what’s up.

Hi, I had the same issue. I have been charged for GPRS for the past week and only noticing now as my data stopped working.

 

I've changed nothing in my settings or usage and should have unlimited data.

Exact same here. Wasn't even awake when I was charged €18 for gprs. Saw a guy on tik tok saying its happened to loads of people and three are aware. I'd say we're all screwed as it seems to have only happened to us on the legacy plan.

I lost 35 euro today after topping up two days ago. I have a pre pay hero all you can eat plan I top up 20 euro monthly and been a customer for two years. I am scared of topping up again and cant use my phone out of the house without wifi. This is unacceptable. 

They've just posted a statement on twitter. Judging by replies it doesn't seem the issue is resolved atall 

I just saw the tweet as well but the issue is not sorted. Im guessing our credit should be restored. Hopefully we will get it back before tomorrow morning.

Exact same issues here. Aș they said that it's a general issues to all so I hope that it will be refunded soon

 

Hey @Liam_43430  , We are aware that some Three prepay customers experienced issues with call, SMS, and data services on Sunday. The issue has now been fully resolved, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you're still unable to use services as normal, please restart your device, and your service should resume. We can confirm that no customer will lose credit due to this issue, and Three is working to ensure that any impacted customers are credited appropriately in the coming days.

Hi Niall, what happens with people who topped up on Sunday morning when they saw they were out of credit, is this credit refunded? I did this but I don’t need the credit if my allowance was reinstated. 

Thanks @Three_Niall looking forward to seeing the credit refunded. Am I understanding correctly, all GPRS charges made will be refunded? What period does this extend to? I looked back further and noticed many more made while I was within the All You Can Eat 30 day period.

Thanks for this, it seems that was the issue. I’ve accepted the comment as the solution - I was returned to normal fairly quickly. Other people may have different issues but they can reach out themselves.
