Received a call from 083 365 2089 today which had an automated message stating there is a warrant out for my arrest for money laundering and drug trafficking etc. I saw others post about it on Facebook too. It told me to press 1 for something but I hung up but I am pretty sure this is some sort of scam to possibly catch people out of their money or whatnot.
I have blocked the number on my device but I wanted to report it further to try help others as some people are vulnerable and will believe this sort of nonsense and could end up being scammed out of money or something. I tried reporting it with an agent through Three's Support Chat but she was asking for my account password etc which I honestly don't understand why that is needed to report a random number. I didn't trust it one bit and believed I was either still talking to a bot or she just didn't have a clue. Copy of chat below. Baffles me!
