Vodafone Ireland have recently started issuing ESims in ROI. I think Three should follow suit soon, handsets such as iPhone only allow dual sim using one of these
Is this correct? No eSIM for watches and existing customers must visit a store to set it up for a phone while new customers can do it on the phone? Seems a bit of an odd set up…
Looks like the QR code I was sent activated the esim on my phone which is now active. Calling back to see about the Watch. I think the Phone will need an update because it still says that 3Ireland does not support esim and the option to add the esim is greyed out
@Dalk I am an existing customer. I know this is all new to the Three staff. But I am getting some mixed messages. One Lady said that Apple Watch esim functionality could only become avialable in one or two months time, while another, very helpful lady, said that it available and my number can be linked to my Apple Watch by staff in a Three Retail store. She will be calling me back shortly to confirm this.
@Dalk Just got confirmation that Apple Watch support will only be available in a couple weeks. And, I am not sure about this part, but when it does become available, my Watch would update in the background and it should start working since I already have the Esim activated on my phone.
