Planned Works Schedule

Here at Three, we want our network to be the best that it can possibly be, so we work hard to identify faults and fix them as soon as possible. We also carry out regular maintenance work to keep our network in tip-top condition. And this means that from time to time, these network improvements can lead to service interruptions. So, when we know that we are going to be working in your area – we want to let you know as well!

The following is a list of the areas that we are currently planning to carry out work in.

Just so you know, this is not a live update of everything happening on the network – but we will be updating this list as often as possible. To check what your coverage is expected to be like, you can also check the coverage map, and if you are experiencing coverage difficulties in areas not listed below, have a look at our coverage checklists 👇

Hi, I moved into a new apartment last week. There has been no network in the apartment at all. The internet doesn’t work. None of the location services work either. The coverage checker shows full availability on the website but I dont get any network/internet.
But if I move out of the apartment complex, like 400 metres away, everything starts working.

Hey @James_65067  , Welcome to the 3Community 🙂

I'd be happy to help you with this, I have checked the masts here for Donnybrook in Dublin and I can confirm that the masts are up and running in the area. If you are continuing to face this issue this morning I would recommend restarting your phone to reestablish a connection to the network.

How is it possible to do 'planned work' without previous communication?!

I won't have mobile or modem internet for the whole day, and Three didn't give a simple warning before…

It is unbelievable! I'm really frustrated with it.

Dear @Juliana_94772 and @James_65067,

Please note that mobile data/cellular data is subject to weather, base station distance and other things in your area which affect the signal (dBm) if you know about that. Please do a speed test on Ookla Speed test and show the screenshot here to see what the topology is. For example in my experience with Dublin 4 in general it is typically a bushy environment which means less signal depending on the material of your wall inside your home. Please let us know do you live in a house or apartment cause in my experience house would be easier than apartment as apartment is blocked straight away rather than house which is easier to travel through. Please tell me what site is the closest to you using the siteviewer by ComReg and also please use the coverage map to see what the coverage is like at your address then tell us. Few tips to improve your signal would be to restart your phone, make sure to regularly update the phone as it can improve performance, make sure to clear data to improve performance, replace SIM card as it can be old, try a signal booster if you can afford one, turn on airplane mode and turn off to see any difference, go to better locations inside the home, turn off 5G to see any difference, clear cache in certain apps and etc. I know it's frustrating when you are calling, having a meeting in Zoom, Teams or Skype and sending a mail then suddenly your signal turns off I am sure if you make these kind of changes your signal can be better I can tell you definitely there is no way it can be maintenance as it has happened few times in Kilbarrack and Raheny if you know the areas it may be unfair to compare Kilbarrack and Raheny to a upper-class area like Donnybrook (bushy) and Blackrock (bushy) as you know which is more rich but still note that Three needs to do the maintenance to improve the spectrum and performance of their systems same for Vodafone and Eir. I don't know if you two use these kind of things for commerical purposes but be aware mobile data is subject to many things which you need to note to be aware which was founded by AT & T and Bell Labs in 1968 which is incredible just like our use of radio everyday you turn in the car AM (1906) and FM (1933) which makes AM 118 years and FM 91 years which is incredible amount of time. Please do the following test also to see what kind of signal you can see the link below to do the test on your iPhone or Android phone then give us the results.

Hi We have had no signal since Friday 26th April in slieve camp co kerry.  Customer service have been giving me the run around all weekend saying it would be fixed on Saturday then Sunday. Now today they tell me they don't know when it will be fixed and can't put me in contact with anyone who can tell me any relevant info.  This is really not good enough.  We have missed deliveries due to not having phone signal.  Can someone contact me with relevant info regarding this outage and an estimate of repair time.
