Vodafone Ireland have recently started issuing ESims in ROI. I think Three should follow suit soon, handsets such as iPhone only allow dual sim using one of these
Seeing as it is taking so long to sort this, Could eSIM be “Unlocked” from Three Network, so iPhone users can access “Dual Sim” functionality, via Vodafone?
@Krzysztof_32795 Hey there, no news as of yet. I know this has been a long time coming & everyone is very interested as soon as I have any update I'll let everyone know.
It’s coming to the stage that we’re going to have to make a choice. iPhone or Three. Personally I’d have to say iPhone, and that means having to go to Vodafone.
It's getting on my nerves and I don't think just me! It happens exactly what I already hinted at the end of 2022, where it was said that Three's eSIM would probably come in 2023: 2023 is long, and I asked when in 2023 it will be … beginning, middle or end of the 2023?
Nobody at Three releases any information about this in a binding manner.
Three really tries the patience of its customers!
Management and sales should slowly know when the eSIMs should be rolled out!
I've said it before and I'll repeat it again: I have the impression that Three wants/must reinvent the eSIM. although these have been specified since 2015 and have been used in devices from Apple and Google since 2018!
Did the ladies and gentlemen at Three sleep or even believe that this technical revolution would pass you by?
It's shameful that Three still hasn't improved its customer information policy and is openly talking about WHEN the eSIM's will/should come!
That should actually already be known when planning a rollout that is supposed to come this year!
Just adding my interest to this thread. I’ve tried the Vodafone eSim in both android and iPhone and it works like a charm. If Three ever get this going and need some test volunteers , then I’m here ready and waiting 🙂
